Falls National Park Safari
Being the largest park in Uganda with the Mighty falls,
Elephants, Buffaloes, Ibis, Bushbucks, Lions, Hippos,
Crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species like
the elegant Fish Eagle, along the river banks; to
mention just a few of the fauna found in the park,
Murchison Falls National Park (MFNP), has the Budongo
forest in the south, run through by the rift valley
escarpment and covered by open savannah(a beautifully
scenic part especially after the rains) amidst scattered
trees in the northern part of the park. MFNP protects
a chunk of untamed African savannah bisected by the
mighty River Nile which foams as the mighty Murchison
Falls gasps and crashes through the narrow gorge creating
splendid roars and water sprays.
Day one
Leave Kampala some time after 6.00am and drive through
the famous Luwero triangle, with a stop over at Masindi
town for lunch. Drive to the park and through it passing
through the Budongo forest on the western arm of the
park which has a variety of primates and one can be
rewarded by a variety of them along the road especially
the Baboons. Or drive through the scenic Hoima from
Kampala, a stop over at Masindi town for break and
thereafter proceed to and through it to the Lodging
facility of your choice for check in and lunch. An
evening game drive (the weather permitting) after
checking in at the Lodge to wrap up the day is a rewarded
experience of sighting Lions, Giraffes, Leopards,
Elephants, Buffalos as they search for prey or feed
on the grasses, a variety of different bird species
like the along the shores of L.Kyoga like the Crested
Crane, before you retire to the lodge.

Day two Back

After an early cup of coffee transverse in the northern
part of the park for a morning game drive.
View more of the wild animals and try to make out
the different bird species with the help of the guide.
After lunch, proceed for a two-hour launch trip up
to the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls where
appalling water escapes from the narrow gorge, an
opportunity to see the amazing hippos, crocodiles,
water birds along the river banks.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day three Back

Check out after breakfast and proceed to the top of
the spectacular Murchison Falls where the Nile perfects
its beautiful falls, creating a thunderous roar and
rainbow in a plume of the spray. Time permitting,
have a picnic lunch at the top of the Falls before
embarking on your journey back to Kampala.
Return to Kampala after a packed lunch.

along Binoculars, a camera, swimming gear and light
clothing
